Mowmars Lawn Mowing Services proudly serves several suburbs in west Auckland, including Glendene, Kelston, and New Lynn. However, it mainly focuses on central Auckland, avoiding the city center. Though we launched our operations in March 2025, our operator, who started in 2014, brings years of experience in lawn mowing. Our commitment lies in delivering top-notch services for residential lawns and ensuring timely mowing based on an agreed-upon schedule. We're also flexible about skipping services during dry summers if our clients inform us about their lawn's growth status.

Operator Background

My name is Mark. I started mowing lawns in 2014 as a subcontractor of a non-franchised lawn mowing business. Quit mowing lawns commercially during the pandemic lockdowns and went to study Information Technology while only doing lawns for a few clients, so I did not completely quit. But I realized that I prefer to go and work outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and Auckland's unpredictable weather, than being stuck on a desk typing codes for programming. So we are starting to mow lawns again commercially in March 2025 and focusing on providing services to more residential clients.

During my youth, I enrolled in trade schools. I took several trade courses, such as Automotive mechanic, electrician, heavy equipment excavator operator, and Welding in ARC, TIG, and MIG in Unitec Mt Albert in 2010. However, I could not secure an apprenticeship to enhance my skills and start a career in the trades, so I mowed lawns instead.

Why consider our services?

• Unlike most other lawn mowing contractors who get too busy by taking on as much work as they can to maximize their revenue, we limit the number of clients we serve so we can always be ahead of our schedule and provide personalized, non-rushed lawn mowing services. This is a real "mowing your lawns like it's our own." We do lawn mowing mainly for health reasons and as part-time workers, and we enjoy it.

• Blades are always sharp for your healthy lawns. We service our mowers most of the time.

• Beehives are no problem. I am a bee enthusiast, and I would have colonies of beehives if I could. I also have no problem mowing lawns with beehives.

• Our pricing is non-franchised, and it excludes royalty fees or brand levy that goes to franchise companies. We are not forced to or must mow the lawns even when there is no growth in dry summers or cold and rainy winters to keep the revenue going and keep up with the franchise company fees.

• Like how a franchised lawn mowing business does criminal checks on their franchisees, we guarantee that we also have no criminal record.

• We are pro customers and also consumers like you. We do not lock clients into contracts and mow the lawns regularly, even when there’s nothing to mow in winter or during a hot, rainless summer.

• Direct pricing for residential or non-business clients. We are not GST registered, so we do not include GST in our prices, unlike most franchised lawn mowing businesses or a busy independent lawn mowing contractor, which add GST by default, even though you won't be able to reclaim it as a private non-business individual. Please note that Mowmars is not exceeding the revenue threshold set by the Inland Revenue as of this writing.
